How do you pray? Some say that prayer is a personal thing. Others say that group prayer or public prayer is better than praying privately. Some say they do not pray at all. How do you pray and when do you pray - if you pray at all? I began writing this article because I noticed a book on my desk that I bought about three years ago. I read parts of the book and placed it away somewhere and just came across it today. The book is about emails and God. It reminded me of how I pray sometimes. Get ...

In our very exterior oriented, high technology world it is easy to become isolated from your inner life. Information overloaded is no longer in question. We are barraged with TV radio and magazine ads suggesting how we should live, drive, eat, dress, play, work, dream, brush our teeth, shower, blah, blah, blah. The amount of information produced in the world is a staggering 250 terabytes per year. Over 100 million pages of text information per person are generated annually. Get Prayers Sent To ...

We live in an age where prayer is much needed in society. When we look at the news or read the papers we see the need for much prayer. One question when it comes to praying is can I just stay home and pray or do I need to join in cooperate prayer in my church? Get Prayers Sent To Your Cell Phone That's a good question and we shall examine it further. I firmly believe that both prayers are necessary and important but there is more power in cooperate prayer than in private prayer. Let me explain ...

Our Text "There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light." (John 1:6-8) "Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levities from Jerusalem to ask him, 'Who are you.' He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, 'I am not the Christ.' And they asked him, 'What then? Are you Elijah?' He said, 'I am not.' ...

Prostrateology is the theological term for the doctrine of prayer. Prayer is the oldest form of worship and is universal to all types of religions and believers. Even atheists rely on prayer in some form or another to make it from day to day. Man has always marveled at how things happen in life and how to change those things that have not yet happened. The answer for the Christian has always been prayer to God, Jehovah, in the name of His son Jesus. Without Prayer, You Have Nothing Nothing ...

How do we know that God and His Son loves us? It is quite simple. Just read the Bible and you will see that it is, in many respects, a love letter to His creation - man. We see that the Bible is brimming with indications of love from God and Jesus Christ. Have you ever had a prayer answered? I have, and many times in an awesome way. Have you ever been delivered from what seemed like eminent danger. Again, I have on several occasions. These are also indications of God's love. But how does God ...

Are you serious about BEING a Christian? Sometimes I see people who profess to being Christian but I don't see Christian fruit developing in their lives. I know that the Bible teaches us that we are not to judge others, and I certainly don't mean it in that respect. However, the Bible also teaches us that if we are a Christian, if we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within us, then specific fruits (fruits of the Spirit) will be evident in our lives. (See Galatians 5:22 and Ephesians 5:9) ...

CRUSHED HOPES AND DREAMS Jeremiah 29 verse 11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." I have been serving the Lord for over 18 years. I am not just a Sunday church goer; I have a daily relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I remember the day the Lord called me aside, and said "I want you to work for me. I will be with you and I will use you in great ways." I said, "Lord, why don't ...

This is part two (part one previously posted) of a radio sermon I preached in 1994. Last Wednesday, the Lord began to trouble my soul about all the unsaved people that were walking around, unconcerned that their souls were in danger. I had heard this song, "Jesus Is Coming Soon", and when the verse "many shall meet their doom" was sung, my heart began to break. I could just picture thousands upon thousands rushing headlong into the pit, without anyone telling them about the saving grace of ...

Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16 Know What You Believe When we seek to know about God instead of knowing Him, our knowledge will never be complete. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Ti. 3:7 Human understanding of scripture is not the same as was God's intent. For my thoughts are ...

Numbers 21.7: "Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it." I received a call from a friend of mine. He wanted me to help him dig a well for a small church in the edge of the next county. Over the years, this church had many troubles, including the wells going dry. When he asked me to help, I felt the presence of the Lord so I knew that the Lord had just given me another mission. I loaded my tools on my old Datsun pickup (it was using so much oil that I just poured the oil ...

In our fast paced society we often want everything done quickly or your boss wants it done yesterday. In your spiritual life are you a Microwave or Crock Pot? I think often we want God to answer our prayers in Microwave fashion. I prayed a specific request today and I want it answered today. If our prayers are not answered quickly, we often wonder, 'What is God doing?' We also decide to go it on our own and not wait for God's direction. Often it is difficult to wait on God's timing. When we are ...

As an ancient African-American gospel song laments, life is filled with complications, sorrows and defeats for everyone. At times life can become an unmitigated horror as the world slowly but surely converts every plant that grows and ever creature that is born into fertilizer to feed future doomed generations. Nobody knows the trouble I've seen -- Nobody knows but Jesus. We really are finite beings adrift in an dangerous world, beset consistently by the tragic human triad of suffering, guilt ...

Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a ...

Natural laws exist that serve to maintain order in the universe. These laws are usually manifested as regularity in nature (as in the seasons) or as a relationship between cause and effect. In the physical realm natural laws exist which govern the behaviour of matter. Examples of such laws are Newton's Laws of Motion. In the social aspect of life, natural laws also exist that regulate human activity. The Law of Demand and Supply is an example of such a law. This phenomenon is also manifested in ...
